A considerable proportion of households in Sierra Leone lack access to improved water supplies, or wish to have a better level of service than their current public water source provides.

Self Supply is a concept whereby households and communities upgrade their water sources using their own finances, rather than waiting for external support. This 20-minute film provides an overview of the Self Supply concept, and learnings from two WASH Facility pilot projects undertaken in Sierra Leone.

This film is likely to be of interest to those working in, or doing research on rural water supply in Sierra Leone, and elsewhere.
